Mission Statement
We believe that
young people are the church. Through youth
ministry we work to foster, promote, and assist in the formation of their faith
relationship with God. We work to "find ways of involving young
people in projects and activities of formation, spirituality, and service, giving
them responsibility for themselves and their work, and taking care to avoid
isolating them and their apostolate from the rest of the ecclesial
community."
(cf. Pope John Paul II, Listen to the True Word of Life, 1993)
Key Points:
We provide a safe haven for young people to worship, witness (this includes learning) and serve.
We are available for youth and their families particularly when they are in need of assistance and support.
We do our best to assist young people with faith formation (always inviting them to go a little deeper while trying to be sensitive to their interests) in the hope that service and active participation in the parish, community and diocese becomes a natural way to express that which they believe.
We work side by side with the Diocese of Camden so that the youth of this parish have the opportunity to: meet new people; mingle with peers who share our faith: visit various churches and parishes and houses of worship; experience and participate in a variety of worship, prayer, service, and social experiences (retreats, etc).
